Glutathione, Anti-Aging and You

By October 2, 2020November 1st, 2021No Comments4 min read

Let me ask you a question… Would you pour oil onto your new suede coat? Would you rub harsh chemicals onto your soft, leather coat hanging in your closet? Of course not! However, have you ever stopped to think about the ways in which you could be destroying your skin every.single.day?

If not, no worries! That’s why I’m here. I’m going to let you in on a little secret that many multi-million dollar cosmetics brands and skin-care lines don’t want you to know…

Our skin is the largest organ system in our body, and it’s constantly exposed to countless toxins like dirt, dust, debris, and other pollutants from our environment. Now, most of the ingredients found in over-the-counter beauty products like lotions, soaps, perfumes, deodorants, etc. are also full of additatives.

Realistically, I wouldn’t mind if they were harmless, but many of these additives can make you sick and actually accelerate the aging process. Glutathione is a potent antioxidant that can reduce free radicals, which gives you those anti-aging properties. At my office, I use IV Glutathione because it works intracellularly, for amazing results!

How Does IV Glutathione Work?

My clients like to refer to their IV Glutathione session as the “flawless drip” because it brightens the skin from the inside out. While glutathione can be given topically or taken orally, most women prefer intravenously. When you take glutathione orally, you’re not actually getting the full effect of the amino acid. In fact, you’ll only absorb about 30% of the dosage, as opposed to intravenously, where you’ll absorb 100%.

The magic behind glutathione is that it blocks the enzymes that make melanin, a pigment our bodies naturally create to make our skin darker.

With IV Glutathione, we can target acne scars, scars from past injuries, rashes, essentially anything that causes a darker and pathchy pigmentation to occur and reveal the smooth and even skin underneath. In our bodies, glutathione also binds to pesky free radicalsand stops inflammation in its tracks.

IV Glutathione works wonderfully alone, and it can also be combined with many of our other anti-aging procedures like laser therapy and micro-needling.

The entire process is quick and easy! Since the IV drip only takes 15 minutes, we can have you in and out the door during your next lunch break.

I typically, recommend clients come in at least twice a week to really reap the benefits of glutathione. There is such thing “too much, of a good thing.” In Asian cultures, glutathione is used to give women a lighter complexion, and some would argue Michael Jackson may have gone overboard… Sometimes, I may suggest only scheduling weekly glutathione treatments, if we also follow up with an IV Vitamin C. The goal is to get your desired results. Once we’ve gotten you there, then we’ll adjust your schedule.

Trust me, after a couple of sessions, you’ll wonder why you wasted so much time figuring out which cream, lotion, or serum will actually work. I like to say that IV Glutathione helps you “put your best skin forward.”
